Walking through the grounds of The Ringling Museum in Sarasota feels like stepping into a European dream. It’s elegant, historic, and totally awe-inspiring. For couples looking to infuse a little old-world charm into their Florida wedding, this place is truly a gem. On this particular day, I had the pleasure of capturing a couple who wanted their celebration to be artistic and romantic. We balanced that with keeping things feeling relaxed and effortless. The Ringling delivered all of that and more.
The ceremony took place on the terrace of the Ca’ d’Zan mansion, overlooking the glistening Sarasota Bay. With soft sunlight bouncing off the marble and the gentle sounds of water nearby, it felt like something straight out of a movie. The bride wore a simple yet timeless gown that flowed beautifully in the breeze. Her bouquet of white flowers and soft greenery was the perfect match for the stunning Mediterranean-style backdrop. The words exchanged between them were heartfelt and intimate, with their closest family members looking on.
Before the ceremony even started, we wandered through the Museum of Art Courtyard, where classical sculptures provided the dreamiest photo spots. The couple held hands as they strolled beneath the arches. We were able to take in the light that made everything look like it was glowing. It was quiet, peaceful, and filled with meaningful glances and happy laughter.
We finished the evening exploring the Bayfront Gardens. With its towering banyan trees and soft winding paths, this spot added a relaxed, organic feel to the rest of the day. This venue is so versatile — you can have the opulence of an art museum and the peacefulness of a coastal garden all in one place.
This charming Sarasota wedding at The Ringling Museum was the perfect blend of elegance and intimacy. If you’re dreaming of a Florida wedding that feels elevated, artistic, and full of romance, The Ringling is absolutely worth considering. Let’s create something beautiful together.
